A Thousand Dicks is an extension of a six-month exploration of my phallic fascination. The process of working with, and making, phallic-based imagery allows me to consider my relation to, and my perceived glamour of, the phallus as a lesbian/Queer/dyke, non-white, female-bodied person.
Bio (maría)petra fortes-schramm is a multimedia artist from the Salinas Valley & Monterey Bay in California, whose work deals with identity, and focuse on gender & sexuality. petra currently works & resides in Portland, Oregon with her wife and their two cats. Her likes include: coffee, crafts and cats. Her dislikes include: goat’s milk, drunk drivers, and pretentious pricks.
